George Groves (12-0, 10KOs) is hungry for the chance to face his British super middleweight rival, James DeGale (9-0, 7KOs). Adam Booth, the manager and trainer, says he is very close to reaching a deal for the date and venue with Degale's promoter, Frank Warren. Groves returned to action on Saturday night in Yorkshire, stopping Daniel Allotey in four one-sided rounds.
DeGale's achievements as an amateur, and a pro, don't impress Groves.
"Whether or not it's by knockout or decision I don't care. I've got everything I need ready for this fight already - and I don't need that much to beat James DeGale anyway," Groves said.
