Yuri Foreman (24-0, 8KOs) stayed unbeaten with a late surge to win a close ten-round split-decision over Andrey Tsurkan (25-3, 16KOs) at the Paradise Theater in the Bronx, New York. The scores were 96-94 Foreman, 96-94 Foreman and 96-94 Tsurkan.

Tsurkan got off to a fast start, pressing the action and letting his hands go, especially in the fourth round. Foreman, with a nasty cut above his right eye, was able to made adjustments to get back in the fight and close strong by making Tsurkan miss a lot of his punches in the final four rounds of the contest. On the undercard;

Monte "Two Gunz" Barrett (32-6, 18KOs) got revenge with a two-round blowout of Cliff Couser (26-14-2, 14 KO's). In July, Couser scored a major upset when he stopped Barrett, also in two-rounds. Barrett snaps a three-fight losing streak with the win.
