Floyd Mayweather Sr., father and trainer of retired pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr., says his son would have handled former UFC champion Ronda Rousey in the same exact manner as Holly Holm.

Holm was a former two-division world champion in boxing and became a full-time fighter in MMA in 2013.

For a long time Rousey was taking shots at Floyd Jr. in the media. After her stunning defeat, Floyd Jr. took the high road by offering sympathy instead of kicking Rousey while she was down.

"He didn’t have anything bad to say about Ronda. My son wouldn’t fight with a woman anyways but like I said, he took the high road and that’s what it should have been. She has to get up and put her stuff on and keep moving, that’s what she’s got to do," Floyd Sr. told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

After suffering that one-sided loss, Mayweather Sr. believes Rousey will become a much better person. Many felt she had become very arrogant and mistreated several opponents before and after a fight.

"You know her yourself and if she would have fought Floyd, she would have never put a hand or foot on Floyd because that’s the way that lady did it. It was so easy for her, she proved her point and I don’t think that Ronda can whoop that girl. I think after everything she’s gonna be a better person and I think she’s gonna learn how to address people better than how she does today," Floyd Sr. said.
