The ongoing feud between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and popular rapper Rick Ross is now over. In a recent interview with MTV News, Ross said he ran into Mayweather in Las Vegas and the two of them talked things over and shook hands.
"Yeah, bumped into Floyd Mayweather," Ross told MTV News. "Most definitely. We chopped it up like G's and after a discussion, we shook hands. So that's squashed.”
The feud had been going on for some time. Mayweather became involved when his close friend, rapper 50 Cent, began feuding with Ross. Ross went after Mayweather in his 2009 track "Mafia Music." It wasn't the last track where Ross fired verbal jabs at Mayweather. Several other track followed, including a recent track called "Go" with Triple C.
Floyd called Ross out during an August 2009 interview and brought up the rapper's past as a correctional officer.
“He can learn how to get money from me,” Mayweather said. “If he’s a cop and rapping about selling drugs, I guess he was a dirty cop! You know me, I’m not ducking and dodging no one, it’s not hard to find me.”
And find him he did. The two men and their camps nearly traded blows during a New Years Eve party in Vegas. Diddy, who hosted the party, had to get involved before the fists started flying.
