This weekend, Felix Trinidad will be officially enshrined into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota, New York. His career saw him win world titles in three-weight classes. The now 41-year-old Puerto Rico icon made the most noise at welterweight, enjoying a title reign that lasted seven years with 15 title defenses.
"Tito" always looked to test himself, it was that desire along with an increasing struggle to boil down to 147-pounds that saw him head to junior middleweight and then middleweight.
In early 2008, Trinidad would finally retire after several attempted comebacks. He walked away with an impressive record of 42-3 (35). The heavy handed Boricuan has wins over Hector Camacho Sr., Oscar De La Hoya, Pernell Whitaker, David Reid and Fernado Vargas amongst others.
BoxingScene.com would like to congratulate Trinidad on this weekend's induction and thank him for his time when we recently caught up with him for our "Five Minutes" feature.
