Fully trained and ready to conquer the world, Chris Eubank Jr. has alerted his team of the intended targets for the months ahead.

The second-generation middleweight from Brighton, England has made clear in no uncertain terms of his intention to challenge the very best as he aims to resume his career. Eubank—whose father Chris Sr. was a former two-division champion in the 1990s—aims to begin his title run as early as December, hoping to end a year-long layoff with a meaningful fight before targeting the best at 160 pounds—Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (53-1-2, 36KOs), Gennadiy Golovkin (40-1-1, 35KOs) and Jermall Charlo (31-0, 22KOs)—in the New Year.

“I want to fight for the belts, I want all the big names,” Eubank insisted to BoxingScene.com. “Right now, I’m just waiting for the call.”

The call was supposed to come earlier this year, when Eubank (29-2, 22KOs) was poised to challenge unbeaten middleweight titlist Jermall Charlo. The two appeared on the same Showtime card last December, both posting stoppage wins to set up a likely head-on collision budgeted for the first half of 2020.

Instead came the first wave of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, killing any such plans for a fight at that time and never quite making its way to the schedule once the sport resumed.

Eubank has since spent his time fine-tuning his craft in the presence of all-time great Roy Jones Jr. at the latter’s training facility in Pensacola, Florida. The past eight months have proven transformational for the 31-year old Brit, who is now poised to return to the ring in December.

From there shall begin the title hunt, starting with Charlo before moving on to bigger game.

“Absolutely. Charlo has a belt so he’s high up there,” notes Eubank, who has won three straight, including a 12-round decision over countryman and former 168-pound titlist James DeGale last February in London. “Anyone with a belt in my weight class is—it’s not even a radar, they are on my hit list. The Charlo fight didn’t happen this year, it’s just how it’s meant to be. It’s just how life has chosen things to play out.

Will it happen next year? I think there’s a very high chance. I don’t see why not.”

A fight with—and win over—Charlo is hardly the end game.

“I want to fight Canelo. I want to fight Canelo and Gennadiy Golovkin,” notes Eubank. “There the two big names in the middleweight division. They both have belts. I don’t think Canelo should have a belt at middleweight since he’s also held belts at super middleweight and light heavyweight (at the same time). You’re not supposed to have belts in multiple weight classes. But he still he has that belt so that’s the guy at the top of my hit list.

“Gennadiy Golovkin, that fight was supposed to happen (in 2016). It got taken away from me, Kell Brook fought him instead. I’ve always wanted that fight, I’ve called for that fight. I don’t see why it can’t be made. He has a belt, he’s in my weight class. Those are the two big fights I’m looking for at the moment.”
