Chris Eubank Jnr has further fuelled claims that he was not himself during his rematch loss to Conor Benn last month.

The two bitter rivals collided for the second time on November 15, having previously fought in an entertaining affair back in April with Eubank Jnr walking out the winner. Unlike in their first contest, it was not a slugfest and Benn walked out a clear winner by unanimous decision, dropping Eubank Jnr twice in Round 12. Eubank Jnr looked a different fighter to the one who leapt over the ropes in their first outing triggering concerns that the war with Benn in April left Eubank Jnr shot-worn.

Following the contest’s conclusion, Eubank Jnr revealed in the ring that he had been dealing with some issues that he would be putting right. Eubank Jnr did not reveal what those problems were, stating that he did not want to take the shine of his bitter rival’s win. That looks to have changed today, however, as Eubank Jnr released a statement on social media alongside a shocking video. In the clip, Eubank Jnr lay on a hospital bed seemingly unconscious while hospital staff prepared to lodge a camera down his throat.

The post by Eubank Jnr, read: “I’ve been dealing with a lot of health issues over the last year & yeah it all finally caught up to me last month. I will not box again until I’m back to 100% & I don’t know when that will be, but one thing is for certain… For the fans that have supported me through thick & thin, I will do everything in my power to make sure that one day, the old me makes a big comeback.”
