After Ahmed Elomar (15-1-2, 8KOs) upset Willie Kickett (13-1, 5KOs), by knocking the rising lightweight prospect out in the first round, a riot broke out in the ring at the Central Coast Leagues Club in New South Wales, Australia. Elomar landed a perfect right hand near the end of the first, knocking Kickett out cold. He captured Kickett's WBO Asia Pacific Youth and IBF Pan Pacific Youth titles.

After Elomar won, his corner and supporters rushed the ring to celebrate. Kickett's supporters were enraged because the prone fighter was still on his back in the ring with officials trying give him attention. Tensions erupted quickly and the two sides began to take part in a wild brawl with flying chairs and bottles and punches being exchanged.

The televised card [on Fox Sports' Australian arm] was cut short when chairs and fists began to fly. Kickett was dominating the first round until he got caught.
