Hall of Fame trainer Don King was surprised with Manny Pacquiao's performance against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao was labeled as the aggressor. He wasn't his usual self in the fight and saw himself get outpunched by Mayweather, who won a twelve round unanimous decision.

King says Mayweather had little to fear in the fight and Pacquiao unexpected lack of activity made the fight easier than anticipated for the unbeaten WBC/WBA welterweight champion.

Pacquiao afterwards told media that he suffered a right shoulder injury during the fourth round. He had surgery in May and is now out of the ring until 2016.

"It was assumed that Manny Pacquiao had to be a Marine. He was supposed to be the aggressor because he had already lost twice [in 2012], and he did not fight as I expected, he did not fight to defend his life like the Marines do and, therefore, Mayweather got his way and kept his undefeated record," King told ESPN Deportes.
