Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte makes it clear that he's only focused on his upcoming opponent, undefeated puncher Oscar Rivas of Canada.

The two top contenders will collide at The O2 on July 20, live on Sky Sports Box Office an DAZN.

Whyte, who is ranked at number 1 by the WBC, will risk a potential mandatory shot at world champion Deontay Wilder.

Last week, Whyte watched his domestic rival, Anthony Joshua, dropped four times and stopped by massive underdog Andy Ruiz at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Whyte had hoped to get Joshua in a rematch, but that won't happen for some times, as Joshua is now heading in the direction of a rematch with Ruiz in the fall.

If Whyte wins, there are numerous options for Whyte - including the winner of Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz, Tyson Fury, Joseph Parker, the winner of Andy Ruiz and Anthony Joshua, and more.

"I'm not even thinking about that, I'm thinking only of Oscar Rivas," Whyte told Sky Sports.

"You can't make the mistake of overlooking fighters and trying to make big fights.

"These guys beating me is like a world title for these guys, so I can't be thinking about the world title when for these guys this is their world title fight.

"So I'm as focused and dedicated to Rivas as I will be when I fight for the title. I completely zoned in and locked in with him. I'm not thinking 'Tyson Fury after Wilder' I don't care about that, I'm just thinking about destroying Oscar Rivas on July 20."
