James DeGale insists his world title dream is still alive regardless of whether George Groves agrees to a rematch following Saturday's contentious majority-decision defeat. The outspoken 2008 Olympic champion was beaten for the second time by his former amateur stablemate following Groves' win in the unpaid ranks.
Groves' hand was raised again at the O2 Arena, with bitter rival DeGale left questioning judges' decisions for a second time. On this occasion it was certainly tight, one judge scoring it even and two choosing Groves by a single point, and it could easily have gone the other way.
"To me it feels like I didn't lose properly. It feels like he's nicked the title off me," DeGale said. "Hopefully we can get the rematch. I don't know. But that's what I want, straight away. He can't be too proud of that win - he nicked it. I'm going to move on to bigger and better things, with or without him."
