David Allen warmed up for his December outing with his third stoppage win on the bounce.

The Conisbrough heavyweight is on a roll since ending the challenge of Nick Webb inside the distance back in July.

Allen, who will fight on the undercard of Kell Brook’s WBA welterweight title eliminator against Michael Zerafa at the FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield, took out Ariel Esteban Bracamonte at the end of the seventh round.

‘The White Rhino’ didn’t have it all his own way against the Argentine at Manchester Arena, but he did eventually manage to get to the previously once-defeated 25-year-old.

Allen, who appeared not to have trained for the fight, much to the dismay of promoter Eddie Hearn, boxed as part of the supporting cast to Tony Bellew’s challenge against Oleksandr Usyk for the WBC, WBA Super, IBF, WBO and Ring Magazine world cruiserweight titles, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and DAZN Stateside.

The end of the fight came after the referee, John Latham, stopped it on the advice of the doctor.

“I want to apologise to everyone here,” Allen said afterwards. “That was another wake-up call. He hurt me. I think I perforated both eardrums, I can’t really hear anything, my eye’s hurting, but there are no excuses.

“He hurt me in there, but I wasn’t fit enough and I’m sorry for everyone. I don’t deserve to see pay-per-view again after that. How many more wake-up calls do I need? Well, this is the last one. I need to go away, work and it’s scandalous coming in in this shape. I’ve been given a great chance but I’ve let people down. I know I won but I feel like I’ve lost in there.”

Bracamonte, who gave more than a fair account of himself in the fight, suffered a bad injury to his nose which was the catalyst to the third man waving it off.
