UFC President Dana White has no intention of sharing the UFC's APEX facility, based in Las Vegas, with promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank.
Both the UFC and Top Rank are Las Vegas based companies.
Arum and White have been feuding for the last few years.
White's company resumed their events, behind closed doors, last Saturday night in Jacksonville, Florida. A second event took place on Wednesday, in the same location, and more events are already on schedule.
Top Rank is planning to resume their activities on June 9 in Las Vegas, likely at a property owned by the MGM.
According to a recent report from ESPN, Arum's company was interested in using the UFC's APEX facility.
While White is willing to share the UFC's 30-page plan, which details how to safely stage events during the coronavirus pandemic, he will not allow Top Rank to put on their shows at the APEX facility.
“You know what a huge Bob Arum fan I am,” White said in a sarcastic manner, to media members at the post-fight press conference.
“If Bob Arum wanted the plan that we put together to pull off this event [on Wednesday in Jacksonville], we would absolutely give it to them. If he wants to use the APEX, I’d tell him to go f--k himself. But we’ll give them the 30-page plan."
White believes the UFC's decision to resume their live events has motivated other sports leagues to start working on their own strategies to return as soon as possible.
“Now you see all the other sports leagues talking about, ‘we’re going, we’re going, we’re going,’” White said. “Somebody had to get out and be first. And I knew we would be, and I knew that we could pull it off safely. Like I told you before, health and safety is something we worry about all the time. So far [knocks on the table], it’s been super successful.”
