During a press conference which took place on Jaunary 25th, which concerned Diamond Boxing Night - Andrzej Grajewski [the promoter of the event] - revealed significant information about the show scheduled for March 6th at Spodek in Katowice, Poland. It turned out that there will be an opportunity to see top Polish fighters in action.
The main event of the show will feature Damian Jonak (24-0-1, 17 KO) fighting for the vacant EBA light middleweight title. The name of the Pole's rival is currently unknown. Another interesting part of the evening will be the performance of undefeated Mateusz Masternak (17-0, 12 KO). The promising cruiser will defend his interim WBC Youth cruiserweight belt.
During the March evening in Katowice, Polish fans will probably watch a fight between Matt Zegan (45-5, 21 KO) and Artur Grigorian (38-1, 22 KO), which will be a chance for the Polish lightweight to take revenge on the 42-year-old Uzbek for the unfair defeat in 2003. Then, both fighters fought for WBO lightweight belt in Essen, Germany. According to numerous experts, the final score was very unjust for the Pole who has been looking for an opportunity to get revenge for seven years.
Apart from Jonak, Masternak and Zegan, undefeated heavyweight Mariusz Wach (21-0, 9 KO) and '92 Olympics bronze medal winner Wojciech Bartnik (23-4-1, 9 KO) will present their skills to the audience.
