WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto expects Manny Pacquiao to give Floyd Mayweather Jr. a lot of problems on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Cotto has been in the ring with both fighters. He was stopped by Pacquiao in the twelfth round of their 2009 clash, which took place at a catch-weight of 145-pounds. In 2012, he gave Mayweather all he could handle when dropping a twelve round decision in a fight which took place at 154-pounds.

Pacquiao and Cotto share the same trainer in Freddie Roach.

"I've been working with Freddie Roach for the last two fights, and I know what he’s capable of doing with Manny," Cotto said to ESPN's First Take via GMA News. "I think he's going to get Manny through Floyd’s mistakes. Manny is going to take advantage of [Floyd's mistakes]… I'm rooting for Manny."

"I think the explosiveness and quickness of Manny is going to have a big impact on Floyd’s performance. The explosiveness will be an advantage," said Cotto. "He can move from point to point in less than a second."
