It's been reported in IOL, that former WBO heavyweight champion Corrie Sanders is set to make a return to the ring, and wants to give IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, the man he knocked out in two rounds back in 2003, a shot at revenge.

Sanders' trainer Johnny du Plooy, says that South Afrrican fighter is looking great in the gym and thinks he can win once again win the heavyweight title.

"Corrie is looking great and small wonder," says du Plooy. "He pulled out of boxing two years ago in the middle of a major management crisis. That upset his mental outlook. With that behind him he has gone about his comeback with a will and determination that has to be seen to be believed."

Sanders returns to the ring on Friday in South Africa, against  Australian champion Colin Wilson.

If Sanders is unable to land a fight with Klitschko, he wants to face the 7-foot WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev. According to Sanders' trainer, he and Valuev sparred several years ago, and Sanders feels he can beat the giant Russian.

"He sparred with the giant Russian some years ago in Johannesburg and feels he can add the WBA title to the WBU and WBO crowns he has held in the past. When you remember he knocked out Wladimir Klitschko in two rounds to win the WBO title, and see Klitschko back today as IBF world champion, you can see how a fit and ready Sanders slots into the world picture," says Du Plooy.
