British heavyweight Dereck Chisora is still looking to get a measure of revenge against his domestic rival, Dillian Whyte.

Last month, both boxers were showcased on the same card at the O2 Arena in London.

Chisora had to dig deep and scored a sensational knockout victory over Carlos Takam, while Whyte appeared in the main event and had to get off the floor to win a twelve round decision over former WBO world champion Joseph Parker.

The two boxers collided in one of the best fights of 2016, with Whyte winning a close split decision win - but there were many who felt Chisora had done enough to win.

After Whyte won, Chisora made an attempt to enter the ring and he was blocked off.

Chisora has no idea why the rematch has yet to come off in two years. He believes Whyte has no interest in facing him.

"We're just waiting for Eddie [Hearn] to let us know what we're going to do," Chisora told Sky Sports.

"I want that rematch with Dillian. He didn't want me in the ring. He told them: 'Don't let Dereck Chisora in the ring.'"

"Let's have the rematch, what's the problem? I just want to fight Dillian Whyte. He never beat me the first time, so I want to show the people. It's not even revenge. It's a great fight, people want it, and I want to give it to the fans."

Whyte is sitting back and hoping to land a rematch with IBF, WBO, WBA, IBO champion Anthony Joshua in April of 2019 - should Joshua win next month's mandatory defense against Alexander Povetkin.

Chisora's career has had it's share of ups and downs. The victory over Takam brought him back from the dead and placed him in line for a much bigger fight.

"Loads of people wrote me off," said Chisora. "It felt great. I knew the knockout was going to come, but I didn't know what round.

"At the beginning of the fight, he came so tough, he was very strong. I had to change the game-plan straight away."
