British heavyweight Derek Chisora has promised to snatch the WBO/IBO/IBF titles from Wladimir Klitschko when they fight on December 11 in Germany. Chisora will be finishing his sparring by the end of the week and then he plans to travel to Germany for the fight. He was having issues locating sparring partners who were qualified to prepare him for Klitschko, but he says the issues were all resolved.
"There were problems, but now everything is in order. I am in excellent shape. On December 11 I'm going to prove that Klitschko made a big mistake by choosing me as an opponent. You have to know how to fight him, like Corrie Sanders clearly demonstrated. He took Klitschko out and I'm going to do the same to Wladimir," Chisora said to Golzka.
Chisora is not convinced that Klitschko has a decent chin. He expects to knock Klitschko out with the first solid punch that he manages to land. Chisora promises to avoid the usual Klitschko battle, where the opponent stays on the outside and gets drilled with jabs and right hands all night.
"I'm not going to play by Klitschko's rules. To exchange punches with him at a distance - it's not for me. I'm going right through his protection to chop him down. It will be very spectacular for the audience. When I get to Wladimir's jaw, he will fall, but he won't get up," Chisora said. "On the evening of December 11, all of Klitschko's fans will suffer inconsolable grief. There will be a new champion and I will carry all of his championship belts back to the UK."
