The 118 pound super champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno, has rejected an offer to face Venezuelan former champion Liborio Solis (17-3-1, 8KOs), who last December failed to make weight for a planned unification with Daiki Kameda, but still managed to win a decision over the hometown fighter.
Chemito was offered $70,000 to take the fight. His team countered with a demand for $250,000 dollars. Unless they see an offer for that amount of money, they are going to take a vacation and then focus on their mandatory defense against Juan Carlos Payano.
"Really, we are focused on our next vacation and thinking about any fight would be the mandatory. Solis, at the moment is not in our plans. However, if the proposal is close to what we believe we should get, then things would change and a meeting would be organized," said Rouss Laguna Moreno, the spokesperson and wife of Chemito.
