Jose Sulaiman, president of the World Boxing Council, believes 2013 would be the perfect time for the Mexican's dream match between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Both of the undefeated young Mexicans are champions under Sulaiman's organization. In the last few months, the two fighters have won world titles and they are starting to make their names in the sport. Sulaiman wants them to have at least two more years of career seasoning before a match takes place.
"I am proud that Julito won the title from Sebastian Zbik, who was undefeated in the professional ranks. I've known him since childhood. I put the belt around the waist of his dad, and now I've done it to him. In 2013 [Chavez and Alvarez] will be ready to fight each other and they would probably fill the Estadio Azteca as did Julius Cesar Chavez Sr.," Sulaiman said.
