Former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. revealed that he will return to the ring on January 26 in Los Angeles, California, and simply awaits confirmation from advisor Al Haymon to begin the strongest part of his camp in search of rescuing his image and continue his boxing career after the one-sided loss to Canelo Alvarez last May.

Although coach Nacho Beristain had commented that his fight would land in December, in the end the saturation of dates forced him to to wait until January, and stressed that despite the lack of communication, he hopes to reach an agreement with the Mexican coach so that he trains him for the upcoming fight.

"I feel like I already paid what I had to pay after that fight, I killed myself for the weight, I fought until I had a neck injury but it's fine, I did the best I could that night, and now, they are peppering me. Now I have to focus well in my return," said Chavez Jr. to ESPN Deportes.

In a recent interview, Nahco claimed that Chavez Jr. had vanished and cut off communication by not returning multiple phone calls.

"I heard what Nacho said, but it's my friend Lupe Valencia who has been in communication with him and he knows that I want him in my corner, I hope to reach an agreement with him for my next fight," added Chavez Jr. about the relationship with the Hall of Fame coach.

According to Chávez, there are a couple of fighters as possibilities for his next opponent, but there is no agreement with anyone and he prefers to wait until the promoter can announce his return.

"All they did after the Canelo fight was to blame me, this time I want a good camp, as we did with Freddie Roach and Alex Ariza. I'm not going back with them but I want to do something like that with Nacho, just a few people in camp, not a festival , maybe the pressure was too much for many and in the end it did not turn out as we wanted. I hope to show that now at my right weight things will be better, not just different," said the 30-year-old boxer with a record of 50-3-1 and 32 knockouts
