Two division former champion Joel Casamayor has ripped back at WBA/IBF junior welterweight king Amir Khan. In an earlier story on BoxingScene.com, Khan blasted WBO champion Timothy Bradley for agreeing to defend his title against Casamayor on the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez undercard on November 12 in Las Vegas.

"Wow, Tim Bradley vs. Joel Casamayor? The guy [Casamayor] is 40-years-old and ranked 30th [in the world]. I'm sorry but he ain't no Bernard Hopkins. I dont know how Bradley gets away with fights like this. Maybe because nobody cares about him. I guess the chicken crossed the road to fight Casamayor...payday," blasted Khan.

Casamayor is very gratful to once again receive the opportunity to showcase his skills on the big stage.

"First off 'Kid Glass" Khan, in my book you are still a rookie so before you disrespect a 92' Gold Medal Winner, who is also a four-time world champ in two different weight classes and a future hall of famer - think twice. In my time there were real fighters like [Diego] Corrales, [Jose Luis] Castillo, [Acelino] Freitas, and several others - a guy like you wouldn't be able to walk down the street. Next time you see me you better turn around, or I'm going to show you what a Cuban mugging feels like! [Breidis] Prescott was right about you, your father raised a boy," Casamayor said.

"I am grateful and very focused to get the chance to win my fifth world title in a third weight class. I want to thank Top Rank and Bradley for giving me the opportunity. I want to dedicate this fight to a good concept, which is Free Cuba. Team Freedom is the original company that started the promotion of my career and I want to bring it back to give young fighters the oppurtunity that I had and that's to have the ablity to come to the best country in the world and live a dream."
