Manager José "Chepo" Reynoso has revealed that Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's opponent will most likely be announced next week. Canelo (42-1-1, 30KOs) returns on March 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The two frontrunners are Alfredo Angulo (22-3, 18KOs) and IBF junior middleweight champion Carlos Molina (22-5-2, 6KOs).

"The [most likely opponent] is either Carlos Molina or Perro Angulo, depending on the negotiations. I think that both are good opponents and have prestige and quality. Which of them [will face Canelo] is depending on the negotiations that Golden Boy is having with them," Chepo said.

Also the trainer/manager stated that Canelo's older brother, Ricardo Alvarez (23-2-3, 14KOs), will face WBC interim-lightweight champion Omar Figueroa (22-0-1, 17KOs) on the undercard. With Adrien Broner moving up to 147, there wouldn't be any surprise if the vacant WBC title was up for grabs in the contest.
