According to Roberto Alarcon, junior flyweight champion Archie Solis, and Ramon Alvarez, the brother of unbeaten junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, appeared with their lawyers for a 30 minute meeting with the agency that investigates violent crimes in Guadalajara.
The agency is investigating last October's beating on Solis near a running trail. Solis claims Canelo Alvarez was the actual attacker. However, Canelo submitted a written statement which cites his brother Ramon as the actual attacker. Solis claims the violence started when Canelo confronted him over an ex-girlfriend. Solis suffered a broken jaw and had three of his teeth knocked out.
