WBC/WBA junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) will start training camp in Big Bear, California on July 8th or July 9th, according to the Mexican star. Canelo defends his titles against Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Canelo and Mayweather are nearly finished with an exhausting eleven city promotional tour.
"Everything is different [from my last fight], starting with the opponent. I've always said that the better my opponent is, the better I am, because that would force me to go even harder in my preparation. Trout is unlike Mayweather. He was left-handed and much bigger. We need to work on a very different strategy," Canelo said.
