Undisputed super middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez is deep in training for his upcoming defense against Jermell Charlo, who holds the undisputed crown at junior middleweight.

Charlo is moving up by two full weight divisions to challenge Canelo on September 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Beyond a fight with Charlo, there is now growing talk of a possible fight between Canelo and undisputed welterweight champion Terrence Crawford, who seems to have no issue with heading all the way up to 168 for a crack at the Canelo-Charlo winner.

Crawford is coming off a career best win from July, when he battered and stopped Errol Spence in their undisputed welterweight fight.

Since that fight, Canelo has been mobbed with questions about Crawford being the best fighter in the world.

However, Canelo stands firm that nobody can compare their records.

"No, look, like I always said, I respect Terence Crawford," Canelo told TMZ Sports. "He's a very talented fighter but he just won one big fight."

"If you see his record, he just beat one good fighter in Errol Spence. Other than that, I don't think he's beaten other great fighters like Spence."

Before he can thing about Crawford, Canelo is very focused on the upcoming task at hand with Charlo.

"Jermell Charlo is a great fighter, he's a talented fighter and he's undisputed in his weight class," Canelo said. "It's going to be a good fight so I'm happy to be in this kind of fight, in the big fights. The fight is almost here so I'm excited. I'm excited because I feel great."

If Canelo is successful later this month, he left the door open for a potential showdown with Crawford, by stating - "We'll see."
