Everything is full steam head in San Diego, California - as the former junior middleweight world champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA), Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-1-1, 32 KOs), is training hard for his upcoming battle with his countryman Alfredo "El Perro" Angulo (22-3, 18 KOs) on March 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Canelo expects fireworks when the two of them get in the ring.
"I think Alfredo Angulo is a fighter with an attractive style that people like to see, and I think his style combined with mine will generate a great fight. He is simple to define as a fighter - he's strong, courageous, always goes forward and punches. The most dangerous thing about him is his punch and the pace which he fights at," Canelo said.
The subject continues to loom, regarding whether or not Canelo is going to face Cuba's Erislandy Lara in the future.
"The only thing on my agenda is Alfredo Angulo. There is no reason to discuss the possibility of taking another fight that is just as tough as the commitment that I currently have. But, Lara is someone that I could face in the future," Canelo said.
