According to promoter Ben Shalom of BOXXER, unbeaten prospect Viddal Riley (4-0, 2 KOs), known more for his social media status and being the trainer for KSI, is levels above his social media boxing counterparts, Jake Paul (5-0, 4 KOs) and Tommy Fury (7-0, 4 KOs).
Riley, who competes at cruiserweight, recently signed an exclusive promotional deal with BOXXER and Sky Sports.
His next fight will take place on February 19, as part of the undercard to the British grudge match between Amir Khan and Kell Brook.
Riley trained KSI for his two fights with Jake's older brother, Logan Paul. He was also the corner of Youtuber AnEsonGib, when he was blown away in one round Jake Paul.
Shalom expects very big things from Riley.
"He is steps above YouTuber boxing. Miles above that. He doesn't want to be viewed like that because he is such a good boxer. In his eyes, he is even above what we already have in the UK cruiserweight division," Shalom told Sky Sports.
"I really believe he is [superior to Tommy Fury]. Viddal is the first genuine YouTuber that is also a real professional boxer with real talent. The journey he can go on is what makes this so exciting.
"Viddal is a serious operator. Ask anyone who has seen him at Team GB which is a good indicator. People in the Mayweather Promotions gym speak extremely highly of him. He is a huge success outside of the ring. He saw an opportunity in the YouTube world and is a star in his own right. I spoke to [Olympian] Ben Whittaker about Viddal. He is remembered at Team GB.
"Viddal is an extremely good technical boxer who is well thought of, and highly rated. What struck me about Viddal is how seriously he is taking boxing. He is stopping a lot of his other activities. People will be surprised by Viddal. He sees himself up there with the very top cruiserweights in the UK."
