Kiko Martinez (31-4, 23KOs) continued his impressive streak of fights with a TKO win over Hozumi Hasegawa on Wednesday in Japan.
The win was Martinez's fourth straight stoppage victory and second consecutive defense of the IBF super bantamweight belt he won in shocking fashion against Jhonatan Romero. In fact, he's won all his fights by stoppage since losing to Carl Frampton in Feb. 2013.
With yet another impressive win, Martinez's promoters have big plans for him going forward in 2014.
"Hopefully we can get Kiko back on American TV and get him the exposure he deserves because he is in his prime right now and very TV friendly unlike some of the other 122 champions," Sampson Boxing EVP Nathan Lewkowicz told BoxingScene.com on Wednesday.
"The fact that he's putting in tremendous work with (trainers) Gaby and Pablo Sarmiento and also training alongside Sergio Martinez, it doesn't surprise me that he is getting these KO victories. He fights in a very aggressive style, like the Ricky Hatton of old, and wears down his opponents."
