Badou Jack's next opponent is shaping up as Julio Cesar Chavez - and a hop, skip and a jump down the road he's keen to take on IBF champion James "Chunky" DeGale.

On the last working day of the World Boxing Council's 53rd Convention, in Kunming - Jack attended the working sessions throughout, laid out his campaign of action. First priority could very well be Chavez Jr. as a voluntary defense of his WBC super middleweight title, and hopefully by 2016's end, DeGale.

As for Chavez Jr: "It generates money. It's a big money fight. That's the main thing, and he's got a big following in Mexico, because of his dad. However, Julio Jr has been a world champion, so it's not just living off his dad's name. And he comes to fight."

With facing DeGale it's a matter of pride and ambition:

"I know him from the amateurs. Back in the Olympics we were in the same weight class. James is  a good fighter. He's one of the best, so now Andre Ward moved up to light heavyweight and a fight between us is the best super middleweights in the world."

To be a WBC champion for Badou is the culmination of everything: "it's a dream come true. It's the best belt out of all the world championships. I'm honored and blessed to become a WBC champion."
