When Austin Trout faces Luis Grajeda on December 11th, there will be a new but familiar face in his corner. Barry Hunter, best known for his work with Anthony and Lamont Peterson is now working with the  former WBA junior middleweight titlist.

"Trout's been in the gym for about two months, now," Hunter told BoxingScene.com on Monday morning. Hunter and his stable of fighters are stationed in Washington D.C. at the Head Bangers Gym.

For much of his career, Louis Burke had been Trout's lead trainer, when asked if he will be the main cornerman for this upcoming fight, Hunter stated,"Well, as it stands for now with this fight, yes, I will be the one taking the lead."

When asked how this union was consummated, Hunter explained:

"Austin's one of those kids that I've known from the amateurs. He's always been a good kid and I watched him along the way and we ran into one another in (Las) Vegas after Adrien's (Broner) fight and we were all together and he had made a comment about how it was something he longed for: the relationship Mike Stafford and I have with the guys, Adrien, Lamont, Anthony, pretty much we've all been together since the amateurs and he wanted to come down.

"Initially he wanted to come down and spar and it went from sparring to 'hey man, let's try it, see what we can do.' So we've been together ever since. He's a good kid. He still has his last coach, he'll be doing the cuts for this fight."

In 2013, Trout coming off his big victory over Miguel Cotto, lost to Saul Alvarez and then Erislandy Lara. He got back into action this past August 22nd where he was floored twice before righting the ship and out-pointing Daniel Dawson. This bout against Grajeda will emanate from the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California and be televised by ESPN.
