Arthur Abraham is still smarting over the postponement of his October 2nd meeting with Nottingham's Carl Froch.  The two were due to meet in the Super Six semi-final only for Froch to withdraw with a back injury.  Abraham, 31-1 (25), is desperate to wipe away the memory of his last contest, the loss of his '0' by DQ to Andre Dirrell in March, and bristled when asked about the delay.

“I am not sure what to think about it,” grunted Abraham, who was in attendance at the LG Arena, Birmingham earlier tonight.  “Why is he not boxing, I don't know.  It is not good for our boxing careers because we have lost money and we have lost time.  The occasion will come.  They are not playing games with me, they are playing games with themselves.”

'King' Arthur, though, is unconcerned about the specifics of the contest, claiming that both Froch and Dirrell, who takes on Andre Ward in the other semi-final, are in his sights.

“I am very disappointed but I hope the fight will happen soon.  A fight against Dirrell will come sooner or later.  It has to come, it must come.  He can become an actor without learning, he's a born actor,” blasted Arthur in reference to Dirrell's reaction to the eleventh-round blow landed by Abraham after Andre had slipped to the canvas.

Abraham attracted a lot of attention from British fans at Frank Warren's 'Magnificent Seven' bill; the former IBF middleweight boss was open minded when asked if he would consider boxing in the UK, but firmly reiterated that the Froch fight would take place on neutral territory.

“At some time later, yes,” he said when asked if he would consider a fight on these shores.  “We like and enjoy it here and I'd love to box in England, but not against Carl Froch.”

Abraham versus Froch should be an all-out war, both men have a lot to prove and both are aggressive fighters.  However, the German-based Armenian believes that his spirit and determination will prove too much for 'The Cobra'.

“I would rather die than lose or go down to my knees.  That is my attitude, that is what I'm all about and why I keep going.  Even a back massage won't help him (Froch).  It is a time of his career when he needs to be fighting.  I believe I will beat him and will prove it in the ring,” predicted Abraham.
