BoxingScene.com was advised by Chris Meyer, managing director of Sauerland Event, that Arthur Abraham vs. Andre Dirrell is being postponed to March 27. Dirrell suffered a back injury in training and was unable to move forward with the scheduled date of March 6. The location and venue is still being discussed.
Abraham-Dirrell is the first of three scheduled fights in the second stage of Showtime's Super Six tournament.
Abraham is currently training for the fight in California. According to Meyer, Abraham will likely remain in the United States to continue his training camp and return to Germany following the March fight.
Vic Darchinyan, scheduled for the co-feature, will remain on the March 6 show and headline the Showtime card against Rodrigo Guerrero at the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California.
