Former three time welterweight champion Antonio Margarito will be in pursuit of redemption when he meets Manny Pacquiao on November 13 at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Margarito, whose reputation was tarnished as a result of a hand wrapping scandal in January of 2009, wants to erase the darkest portion of his career. When Margarito throws his first punch against Pacquiao, it will also be the first time that he has done so on American soil since January of 2009, when he suffered a ninth-round knockout loss to Shane Mosley at The Staples Center in Los Angeles.

More so than almost anything else, Margarito wants to bring home the WBC's 154-pound belt back to Mexico. The vacant title will be at stake when he faces Pacquiao in November. On paper, nothing less than a war is expected. Margarito has the same thought in mind. He wants to make it war, because win or lose Margarito wants the viewing audience to walk away satisfied.

"I know how important this fight is to my career and to all of México," said Margarito. "That is why I will prepare like never before. I will defeat Manny Pacquiao, proving to everyone that I am one of the best fighters in the world."

"The belt is very important to me, but the most important thing is to give the fans a great fight and one that they will remember for a long time. I love to fight, and Manny has proven that he is a warrior. This fight is going to be a war."
