At the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California, opening the show is Espinoza Boxing prospect Abraham Lopez (11-0, 9KOs) against William Boxley (5-6, 3KOs) in a 6 round Lightweight battle. Lopez seems to have improved with new trainer Joel Diaz utilizing a jab and not rushing in.  While Boxley was crafty you could clearly see that he was overwhelmed by Lopez' attack and on advise of the ref puts an end to his night after the third. Lopez improves to 12-0 with 10 KOs.

Next up is Joel Diaz, 127 of Lancaster CA. Making his pro debut going against Rene Torrez (0-2-1 0 KOs). Diaz is an aggressive fighter attacking Torrez from the outset owning the first in easy fashion. The seoncd round starts the same as Diaz attacks, Torrez dropping him with a crisp left hook barely 23 seconds into the round. Torrez stays down for the count as Diaz picks up his first win via KO.

Women take the ring as Gloria Salas takes a well deserved UD from Katarina De La Cruz, upping her record to (3-4-1 1KO) while De La Cruz is still looking for her first win and drops to (0-4-1 0KOs).

After a brief break, we return with Art Hovhannesyan (11-0-1 6KOs) taking on journeyman Christian Favela. (19-27 10KOs) in a Junior Welterweight scrap. Hovhannesyan is controlling the pace with a barrage of left hooks and lead rights.  Favela seems content to do the occasional flurry but clearly not enough to win the rounds as Hovhannesyan wins the fight by scores of 78-74 77-75.

Former title challengers Antonio DeMarco and Daniel Attah competed in a 10 round Jr. Welterweight fight that saw DeMarco show the form that made a few people say he could be a champion, by stopping Attah in 2 rounds and improving to (24-2-1, 18KOs) while Attah dropes to (24-6-1, 8KOs).
