Welterweight contender Alfonso Gomez (22-4-2, 11 KOs) has no probelm with being tagged as the underdog in his upcoming fight with junior middleweight and middleweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (40-0-1, 30 KOs). Chavez-Gomez is the main event of Top Rank's pay-per-view on December 4 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Gomez tells FanHouse that Chavez is never going to make it to next year's planned fight with WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto.
"He's getting knocked out. I'm ready...real excited. This is just the beginning. I'm really motivated. Come December 4th, we're going to have some fun," Gomez said.
Also on the card, Nonito Donaire will face former WBA banatmweight champion Wladimir Sidorenko, Brando Rios clashes with Noe Balanos and WBC lightweight champion Humberto Soto defends against Urbano Antillon.
