Alex Arthur (25-1, 19KOs) is eager to eliminate Steven Foster on Saturday night in Meadowbank, and then set his sights on a 2008 clash with WBO super featherweight champion Joan Guzman (28-0, 17KOs). Arthur is the WBO's interim super featherweight champ, and hopes the win will force a mandatory bout with Guzman.

According to some reports, Guzman may move up in weight to the lightweight division, hoping to land money bouts with Juan Diaz, Joel Casamayor or Manny Pacquiao, who plans to move up to 135 after his March 15 rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez.

If not Guzman, Arthur wants to challenge the best fighters at the weight.

"A super-fight at my weight next year is my priority. I would love to take on one of the major names in the division next year. It would just be something for me, at this stage in my career, that would lift me," Arthur told Sportinglife. "Whether it be Joan Guzman or whoever. That would be the highlight of the year. I tell you why I am talking about a major fight in 2008 is because I have always set myself goals since I was a young lad. I have almost hit the target every time."
