BoxingScene.com recently spoke to Alfredo "El Perro" Angulo who is just days away from his pay-per-view showdown against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.  Angulo has been training in the Bay Area alongside champions and former champions such as Andre Ward, Amir Khan and Andre Berto under the tutelage of Virgil Hunter.  He said that the family atmosphere that Hunter has created has been a benefit to all of the fighters.

"I am very happy because Virgil has a team of fighters where we always try to help each other out.  Whoever is training and has the fight coming up gets help from the other boxers.  We don't see each other as boxers.  It is like we are family.  The best part is that we all come from different cultures but we have bonded together," Angulo explained.

I asked Angulo if he feels that he will put on the best performance of his career because he has now had a few training camps with Hunter under his belt. The ultra confident Mexicali, Mexico native said that the fans will be in for a surprise on Saturday night.

"Yes I do (smiling).  I feel really comfortable with him. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised at the Perro they see in the ring on Saturday night.  We have worked really hard in training camp and it will show," Angulo told BoxingScene.com.
