To complete his look back at series one of The Contender, Eric Raskin explains what happened to the eight members of the show with whom he was unable to connect.

Frederikshavn, Denmark - Sauerland Promotion's show at the Arena Nord in this Northern Danish town kicked off with a heavyweight bout scheduled for four rounds. Swede Otto Wallin, 2-0, floored out of shape and overweight Estonian Valery Semishkur, 18-29-1, twice for a stoppage at 55 seconds into the second. The towel came in after the first knockdown but the referee missed it and the mismatch continued a little too long.

Ahmed Kaddour (26-2-1, 10 KOs) has rejoined Brian Mathiasen to prepare for the Nordic Fight Night in Frederikshavn on September 7. The 31-year-old light middleweight, who last fought in September 2012, will face Aleksei Tsatiasvili (4-4, 2 KOs) from Estonia. “I am thrilled to be fighting again,” Kaddour said. “I don't remember the last time I have been so serious about training. I'm training hard and I love being back, I'm training with Brian again, that alone says it all, and I am very happy about it. “We don't bulls***. Brian knows me really good. He is the only one who knows how to push me hard and get me in great shape.

After his action-packed Nordic Fight Night debut in Herning on June 2, Ahmed Kaddour (25-2-1, 10 KOs) will make another appearance on Team Sauerland´s show on September 22, taking on Max Maxwell (15-11-3, 3 KOs) at Frederikshavn´s Arena Nord. Having learned all about German discipline, timeliness and strictness at Team Sauerland´s training base in Berlin, Kaddour has predicted to stop his opponent in less than five rounds.

Ahmad Kaddour (22-2-1, 9 KOs) will make his TV2 Fight Night debut on February 12, taking on Great Britain´s Lee Noble (12-15, 3 KOs) in Herning. The 29-year-old light middleweight is looking forward to what will only be his fifth fight on Danish soil. “I am thrilled to be fighting in Herning and have the backing of my Danish fans,” Khaddour said. “I have trained and fought all over the world, always being the underdog going up against the home kid. That has really toughened me up. Fighting in front of my countrymen will be great and I will put on a special show. I will make my opponent feel very sorry for coming to Denmark. Everything I throw at him will hurt.”
