Benn defended his world title against Iran Barkley in Las Vegas and got him out of there in a single round. Benn defeated Gerald McClellan who was the most dangerous US fighter in the world.

The REAL Lewis was Ted 'Kid' Lewis, not ****ing Lennox Lewis!

But after Benn's poor performance against Nardiello and RJjnr's awesome performance against Pazienza, Benn was made to rethink and then admitted that RJjnr was righteously 'the man' .. after the McClellan fight I think Benn was p4p no.2 .. but with Benn on the slide (he dropped outside top 5 after poor performances against Nardiello and Perez) he knew that all he could do was just throw everything at RJjnr for three or four rounds and hope for the best, and he DID want the fight ..

I said this before & I'll say it again. Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, or Stevie Collins couldn't & wouldn't move to Heayweight & try to defeat & champion even if John Ruiz was the current because they couldn't. I respect everyone's opinion but to downgrade Jones accomplishments & say that he doesn't have a legacy is foolish & that person couldn't even be considered a true boxing fan.

I really don't care what Collins did as an amateur. Only what he did professionally. Jones wasn't on them for his fight with Ruiz so what's your point if you even have one?

Im sorry Juy Juy but as much as u say the above - did these guys go up divisions and into heavyweight and win the world title. No they didnt.....Roy Jones achieved one of the greatest things in boxing by moving up to heavyweight and winning the world title - how this can be disputed i have no idea. Its not quite the same as winning the irish heavyweight amateur title.
