LAS VEGAS - "Knockout Night at the D," the boxing fight card to feature headliners Zab Judah vs. Josh Torres at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC), has been cancelled for Saturday, March 12.

Former two division world champion Zab Judah has been inactive since December 2013. At 38-years-old and several fights falling through in the last twelve months, Judah admits he was at a crossroads in his career. His return is finally set for March 12th at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. Judah (42-9, 29 KOs) will face Josh Torres at a catchweight of 143 pounds. The fight will be televised by CBS Sports Network.

LAS VEGAS -- the D Las Vegas and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC), along with Neon Star Media and Roy Englebrecht Promotions, hosted a press conference this past Tuesday afternoon to promote its new monthly boxing series, "Knockout Night at the D".

LAS VEGAS - Zab 'Super' Judah was ringside for the fourth installment of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS on FS1 and BOXEO DE CAMPEONES on FOX Deportes which lived up to its name with a fast-paced all out main event between bantamweights Alexis Santiago (21-3-1, 8 KOs) of Phoenix and Erik Ruiz (15-5, 6 KOs) of Oxnard, CA. Both fighters exchanged back and forth punches throughout the bout, keeping fans at Sam's Town Live entertained until the final bell. The bout, which went the full 10 rounds, resulted in a unanimous decision victory in favor of Santiago as the judges saw it 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92.

The inaugural event, scheduled for Saturday, March 12, will be held inside the DLVEC's 20,000-square-foot tent and headlined by five-time, two-division world champion Zab "Super" Judah (42-9, 29 KOs). The Brooklyn native, now fighting out of Las Vegas, returns to the ring after a two-year break from the sport. The fast and powerful southpaw faces Albuquerque, NM junior welterweight Josh "Pitbull" Torres (15-4-2, 7 KOs) in the 10-round main event.

The return of former two-division world champion Zab Judah under the Greg Cohen Promotions banner is off to a rocky start. What was supposed to be his debut with GCP in early September was cancelled after a weigh-in scuffle left his opponent Hevinson Herrera unable to fight.

Former two-division champion Zab Judah, who will be fighting on November 13th at the D Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, will have a dance partner who recently promised the Mexican press that he's coming to wage war. Promoter Greg Cohen just recently signed Judah to a promotional contract and told BoxingScene.com that he expects a good fight when his fighter steps in the ring with Juan Carlos Salgado.

Sources have advised BoxingScene.com that the D Hotel in Las Vegas will be hosting a card that will feature the quartet of Zab Judah, Joseph Agbeko, Ava Knight and Chuy Gutierrez, which will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network on November 13th.

Floyd Mayweather equalled former heavyweight great Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record with a unanimous decision victory over Andre Berto before confirming his retirement.

Zab Judah's return to the ring was scheduled for Thursday night at the Space in Westbury in Westbury New York against journeyman, Hevinson Herrera. After an altercation at the weigh-in earlier today, however, he won't be facing Herrera or possibly anyone at all. Promoter Greg Cohen explained to Boxingscene.com: "(Zab) and his opponent got into a scuffle at the weigh-in and the opponent is saying his jaws hurting, his heads hurting. He's not fighting. It's insanity." Herrera has ruled himself out of the fight. "The kid is not fighting," confirmed an irate Cohen, who is now presented with the task of finding a new dance partner for Judah literally at a moment's notice.
