Frank Warren, promoter of undefeated rising heavyweights Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce, would be more than happy to put either one in the ring with WBC interim-champion Dillian Whyte.

Dubois, 22-years-old, is scheduled to face Joyce, an Olympic silver medal winner, on October 24 at the O2 in London.

Whyte is set down to face former WBA champion Alexander Povetkin on August 22 in Brentwood.

Whyte is the mandatory challenger to WBC world champion Tyson Fury, who Warren also promotes.

Whyte is due a world title shot, by way of a WBC issued order, by February 2021.

Warren and Fury have other plans on the agenda - like a two-fight deal to face WBO, IBF, WBA, IBO champion Anthony Joshua in 2021.

"This is a fight between the two heavyweights, [Dubois and Joyce], I believe will reign as world champion in the very near future. The winner will certainly be in a strong position for a shot at one of the belts in 2021," Warren told The Daily Star.

"Dillian Whyte has been waiting for so long for his crack at a world title. So why doesn't he face the winner of Dubois against Joyce and really prove he is ready to take on the top guys in the division. If he's still waiting around well into 2021 then he might want to ask questions of his promoter but there's no doubt Dubois would step in with him.

"Of course I'd back Dubois to deal with Whyte as he is the future king of the division. The global pandemic has slowed us down slightly but nothing will stop him ruling the world."
