A combination of Olympic competition on NBC and three low-profile fights led to FOX’s lowest-rated boxing broadcast Saturday night since the network began paying for Premier Boxing Champions’ content late in 2018. Nielsen Media Research revealed Tuesday that the three-bout “FOX PBC Fight Night” telecast drew an average of 621,000 viewers. A peak audience of 696,000 tuned in toward the end of an upset in the main event – Jonnie Rice’s fifth-round, technical-knockout victory over heavily favored Michael Coffie at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Mielnicki knocked out Noah Kidd in the second round of a welterweight fight scheduled for eight rounds at Prudential Center. Mielnicki improved to 9-1 and produced his sixth knockout before a loud crowd that mostly came to watch Mielnicki, who resides in nearby Roseland, New Jersey.

Martin was way over the contracted weight of 147 pounds for what was supposed to be an immediate rematch Saturday night at Prudential Center. Once Mielnicki’s team learned Friday morning that Martin wouldn’t even come close to making 147 pounds, Mielnicki agreed to instead face Noah Kidd in the eight-round co-feature of a “FOX PBC Fight Night” broadcast scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EDT.

BoxingScene.com has learned that Brooklyn’s Coffie will next face former heavyweight title challenger Gerald Washington, one of three recognizable names that he called out following his third-round knockout of Darmani Rock earlier this year. Nielsen Media Research released data Tuesday that indicated an average of 1,004,000 viewers watched the Tony Harrison-Bryant Perrella fight. Viewership peaked at 1,125,000 during the 12-round draw split between Harrison and Perrella.
