The whole world knows that heavyweight world Champion Tyson Fury made his way home from Germany by ferry following his decision win over former titlist Wladimir Klitschko in November, but the colourful new heavyweight king did not stay still for long as he decided to celebrate his win with a trip to Moray in Scotland and also threw in an impromptu snowball fight.

Fury had headed north to buy a castle.  The 27-year-old decided not to buy the property and is still looking for his own highland fortress.  However, the trip gave Fury (25-0, 18 early) a chance to celebrate his world title win in his own unique style.

“It was right after the world title fight and me, my brothers Shane and Hughie and my dad decided to go an a road trip to Scotland” Fury told the Daily Record.  “We were driving a 25-year-old Mercedes S-Class, a great car but hardly anything flash.

“It's quite hard for me, at my size, to be under cover but I did my best with my hat and sunglasses and I didn't get bothered.  We met a few fight fans but I always love meeting boxing fans and having a bit of banter so that was all part of the fun.

“I had my eye on a castle in Moray and I wanted to have a look around.  We ended up going to Perth and Aviemore but by the time we got to the castle it looked different to the photos I'd seen so I didn't really fancy it.  We weren't bothered because it was a great trip.  I'll be keeping my eye on the market.”

He added: “"We didn't book a thing, it was as random as you like.  We were away for three days and it was great to just get away from it all, from all the fuss and all the glitz and glamour.  We got in a little bed and breakfast in Perth and got up in the morning and headed on up the road again.  We got stuck in snow for a bit and had a bit of a snowball fight but it was all good fun.”

Castle owners take note, Fury is heading back to Scotland for a meet and greet with his fans on Febraury 20th, go to https://www.facebook.com/Fighting-Scots-Gym-318630634904448/ for more details.
