Welterweight contender Rashidi Ellis will return against Brian Chaves on Oct. 25 at the Oceanside Events Center in Revere, Massachusetts.

More viewers watched Shakur Stevenson’s second fight at the junior lightweight limit than his debut at 130 pounds. Nielsen Media Research revealed Tuesday that ESPN’s telecast of Stevenson’s easy, 10-round, unanimous-decision victory over Toka Kahn Clary was watched by an average of 1,281,000 viewers. ESPN’s entire three-bout broadcast, which lasted two hours and 24 minutes, averaged 1,550,000 viewers.

Another night, another showcase performance from Shakur Stevenson. The latest step in the career of the 2016 Olympic Silver medalist and unbeaten former featherweight titlist humble Providence’s Toka Kahn Clary over 10 rounds Saturday evening live on ESPN from The Bubble at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Shakur Stevenson undeniably is a heavy favorite versus Toka Kahn Clary. The former WBO featherweight champion still thinks Clary is more formidable than Felix Caraballo. Stevenson dominated Puerto Rico’s Caraballo (13-3-2, 9 KOs) in his first fight at the junior lightweight limit, which the 2016 Olympic silver medalist won by sixth-round knockout after landing a body shot June 9 at MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.

There was a point in the year where Toka Kahn Clary had to make a choice. A chance to fight on ESPN came at the wrong time on a personal level for the 28-year old Providence native, leaving the squat contender pressed with an inactive period of more than a year. That dilemma was marginally offset through the benefit of a stay-busy fight for the sake of fighting at least once in a pandemic-riddled 2020.

Shakur Stevenson headlined the first post-pandemic show for Top Rank and now has the honor of headlining the company’s final card of the year. The 2016 Olympic Silver medalist and unbeaten former featherweight titlist faces Toka Kahn Clary (28-2, 19KOs) in a scheduled 10-round bout at junior lightweight. Both fighters made weight for their main event, which takes place Saturday evening at The Bubble at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Unbeaten Olympic silver medal winner Shakur Stevenson is returning to the ring on Saturday night, when he faces Toka Kahn Clary at the MGM Grand's Conference Center in Las Vegas. Stevenson, who captured a world title at featherweight, is the WBO's mandatory challenger at 130-pounds.
