WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith 'One Time' Thurman sees no reason for a rematch between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao was dominated, more or less, over the twelve round contest on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

After the match, Pacquiao revealed that he entered the contest with a right shoulder injury and aggravated it further during the fourth round of the contest.

Pacquiao and his trainer, Freddie Roach, have demanded a rematch for 2016. The rematch is unlikely after Wednesday's lawsuit by Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank, against Mayweather's adviser Al Haymon.

Thurman himself is pushing to get Mayweather in the ring on September 12th at the MGM Grand. First Thurman has to beat Luis Collazo on July 11th.

"I knew Mayweather, as long as he was going to use the best strategy, I figured his best strategy was to use his footwork and to potshot all night, and that’s pretty much what he did. He controlled Manny Pacquiao on the outside and he never really stood in front of Manny Pacquiao, not being an easy target for him. It was a beautiful job by Floyd and it’s what I expected from him," Thurman told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

"At the end of the day, I believe that it’s the fighter and his trainer’s job to show up in the best physical shape possible and they didn’t do that, and that’s their bad. Mayweather came to perform. I don’t think he deserves a rematch, I don’t think anyone wants to see a rematch. Just like my nickname, sometimes you only get ‘One time.’"
