Tevin Famer Vows To Beat Dib, Face Davis and Berchelt

Skilful Super-Featherweight contender Tevin Farmer wants to make a statement by stopping Billy Dib on August 3rd.

Next Friday, the American travels to Sydney, Australia hoping to win the vacant IBF World Title, live on BoxNation.

Beating Dib on away soil could lead to unifications with the likes of rival Gervonta Davis, who holds the WBA belt, and WBC Champion Miguel Berchelt. Christopher Diaz and Masayuki Ito clash for the vacant WBO crown live this weekend.

"It's going to be something Dib can't get away from; a guy that's going to be strong all 12 rounds. It's going to be a hell of a fight, and I'm going for the knockout," he told FightHype this week.

Since Vasyl Lomachenko's move up to Lightweight the 130lb scene lacks an established number one.

When asked about the current titlists at Super-Featherweight, Farmer replied: "I'm going to let everyone in the 130lb division know that I'm coming for their ass!  If I can have it my way. It goes like this. Beat Billy Dib for the IBF. Very next fight Davis for the WBA. Then fight Miguel Berchelt for the WBC. I want these fights back to back !!!

One year ago, Farmer was shot in the palm of his right hand while trying to protect his brother. He recovered from the injury and returned to the ring in December, dropping a highly contentious decision to Kenichi Ogawa.

However, Ogawa was stripped of the IBF belt in April after it emerged his pre-fight drug test was positive for two forms of synthetic testosterone. Farmer feels he should already be a World Champion and wants to take his frustrations out on August 3rd.

"I'm gonna go out there and show the world how good I really am. I had a lot of setbacks in 2017, but I still continue to pursue it. He's gonna catch everything that I've been feeling through these past two years."

Boxing away from home does not faze the Philadelphian: "When you go on the road and get it, I think people respect you more," argued the 28-year-old.

He doesn't have the power to beat those guys. He's get run over.

If Farmer beats Dib, which I expect him to, I really want to see a unification against David. There's already bad blood there and it's an interesting stylistic matchup

Looking forward to seeing if Farmers performance matches his confidence. Davis may be a bit more than he can chew.

This fight should've never happened! Farmer easily beat Ogawa! He should be the Champ! Hopefully he handles business, and we get Davis (B-More) vs. Farmer (Philly)!!! That's gonna be a good one!!!

Gotta love Tevin. Ambitious guy. Let's see how he handles Dib; that's a good barometer reading of his readiness for Gervonta and Miguel.
