Srisaket Sor Rungvisai vs. Amnat Ruenroeng on April 4, Bangkok

Two of Thailand’s best boxers from the past decade will face off in Bangkok in April 4th. Srisaket Sor Rungvisai is going up against Amnat Ruenroeng at Workpoint Studios.

Srisaket (47-5-1) shocked the world by beating Roman Gonzalez twice in 2017. The former WBC 115lbs champion established himself as a household name in Thailand but is coming off a lackluster decision loss to Juan Estrada last April that cost him his title.

Amnat (20-3) is the former IBF 112lbs champion. He is seven years older than Srisaket but is coming off back to back wins in 2019 going into this 10 round contest which is set for 120lbs.

The fight looks set to pit the speed of Amnat against the power of Srisaket according to the promoter,

“Srisaket Sor Rungvisai is more powerful than Amnat Ruenroeng. However, Amnat Ruenroeng is a very smart boxer. His boxing skills are hardly found in any other Thai boxers. He is not someone Rungvisai could just walk over. I assure the boxing fans they can anticipate an entertaining fight between the two” said Bank Thainchai Pisitwuttinan, Promoter of WP Boxing series.

Srisaket Sor Rungvisai vs Amnat Ruenroeng will be broadcast in Thailand on Workpoint Entertainment channel on April 4th, 2020, 3PM (Thailand time) at Workpoint Studio.

Amnat is a dirt bag, using Muy Thai throws, elbows, and mauling. Too bad they don't have dirtiest fighter of the decade award. Amnat would be a front runner.

A Thai Superfight, hopefully with a happy ending.

Finally Srisaket is back. What hurts his career right after beating previous P4P king was not fighting back in US or someone who is more known to the masses. Felt like he needs to fight back Juan again but this…

Good fight! Amnat had some excellent wins at Flyweight but SSR at 120lbs is gonna be too much for him I feel. I don't think his chin is gonna hold up to Rungvisai's power. I can't see Amnat making it…
