They say styles make fights and we could have a good one as WBO featherweight titlist Oscar Valdez (23-0, 19 KO's) faces Scott Quigg (34-1-2, 25 KO's) from the StubHub Center in Carson, California as the main event on ESPN on Saturday night.

Quigg believes that he and Valdez are made for one another.

"Definitely, I do think the styles are going to jell and the fans are in for a real treat," said Quigg, who explained to BoxingScene.com that he anticipates a fan-friendly battle. "I do think it's going to be a cracker."

And unlike where he lost to arch-rival Carl Frampton, he knows he can't lay back in the early rounds with the attacking Valdez.

"I really can't see our styles not jelling. It's really going to be a fireworks show," stated Quigg. "As you say he puts everything into every shot and I'm not going to let him get any momentum. I do believe we're going to meet in the middle of the ring and it's going to be bombs away."

Valdez in recent fights has been pushed to the limit. Last April, Valdez went a hard 12 rounds versus Miguel Marriaga and then in September he hit the deck against Genesis Servania on his way to a hard-earned decision victory.

Also on the show, Erick De Leon and Andy Vences will clash for the World Boxing Council (WBC) Continental Americas & World Boxing Organization (WBO) International Titles in the televised co-feature.

The Valdez vs. Quigg world championship fight, along with Vences vs. De Leon, will be televised live and exclusively at 10:30 p.m. EST on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, and streaming live on the ESPN App. Additional undercard bouts will be shown on the ESPN App beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
