The huge Chinese heavyweight knocked out Alexander with a devastating straight left hand that knocked Alexander flat on his back in the first round. Referee Robert Hoyle quickly called an end to the action as Alexander clearly wasn’t fit to continue on the Canelo Alvarez-Dmitry Bivol undercard at T-Mobile Arena.

LAS VEGAS – Canelo Alvarez came in at almost exactly the same weight Friday as he did for his only other light heavyweight bout. Bivol, of St. Petersburg, Russia, stepped on the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s scale slightly heavier than Alvarez, at 174.6 pounds, on a makeshift stage outside of T-Mobile Arena.
